Description

Tanacas presents the new Tanacas Reference Electrode (ERT), developed through research over the years with its customers, where the needs of a Reference Electrode (also known in the market as Semicell) of Copper / Copper Sulfate were pointed out.

The Copper / Copper Sulfate Reference Electrodes (Cu / CuSO4) has the function of generating a potential in the cathode, indicating whether or not it has potential for protection against corrosion.

Tanacas Reference Electrodes were designed to perform accurate measurements of corrosion potentials in buried steel structures. The product was built robustly, it has a ceramic tip designed to facilitate and allow good contact with the ground, in addition to being provided with a protective cover for transport and storage, ensuring longer life for the Electrode.

Applications

The Tanacas Reference Electrode was developed to be used in the area of Cathodic Protection in potential measurements in buried steel structures. Being able to be used to determine the effectiveness of on-shore Cathodic Protection Systems, it is not suitable for marine use.
